The challenge for this back garden was the level change of over 1.8m from the house to the garden. A generous deck over three levels with different points of entry softened and connected the space. Integral rendered planters add interest and contrast and bring planting into the hard landscaping. The planting brief was all about low maintenance and foliage interest, so grasses, evergreen shrubs repeated for rhythm and easy to grow herbaceous perennials create the seasonal interest.
